Victory for Smollan at the Standard Bank Top Women Awards

We are thrilled to share some exciting news about our recent journey to the Standard Bank Top Women awards that underscores our commitment to for women empowerment and inclusion. The EDI council, in collaboration with the People team, graced this prestigious event that took place in November and emerged as finalists in not one but two distinguished categories: Top Women Business in Retail and E-Commerce and Top Women Business in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.

Our inclusion in the finals acknowledges the strides we've made in our empowerment strategies and innovation. In an added victory, Africa CEO Michael Power, has been honored with the Top Male Leader Driving Gender Empowerment award.

Being recognized in multiple categories, including an individual leadership award, reflects our commitment to creating a workplace that is not only diverse but also equitable and inclusive - a workplace that values every individual’s unique strength and contribution.
